ABOUT ME
I’m a South African German mash-up of a person, a background that has been an asset as I’ve repeatedly put myself in others’ shoes, trying to understand their needs and pain points. I’ve been working as a creative and educator for 15 years on a large variety of campaigns and businesses. But my true love is the development of brands. I’d attribute my being a people person to this, because brands are like people. It’s ultimately not about sales and KPIs – at least not to the people doing the buying. They perceive the brands they come into contact with as they do people. This means that they have the power and are the ones who determine the strength of a brand.
I see brands as characters, with values, motivations, intent, personalities and attributes that can connect with real people.
So the goal is to understand what these powerful people want and need and reach them in a way that makes sense to them, moves them and shows them who you, as a brand, want to be for them.
